HP EliteBook 8440
HP releases the EliteBook 8440 series and 8540 series notebook PCs.Both of them are boosted by Intel’s Core i7 or Core i5 processor and have up to 8GB/16 of RAM. The 8540w and 8440w are workstation models equipped with NVIDIAQuadro FX 380M graphics with 512MB VDDR3 memory, while the 8440p comes with NVDIA 3100 graphics and 8540p has NVIDIA 5100 graphics.

These notebooks have up to 500GB hard drive or 256GB SSD and a DVD SuperMulti burner. The 8440 comes with a 14-inch LED0backlit display and the 8540 has a 15.6-inch display. They support WiFi, Bluetooth and optional Mobile Broadband with GPS. Other features include SD card reader, ExpressCard/54 slot, DisplayPort and eSATA/USB 2.0 combo port.
The EliteBook 8440p starts at $979, the 8440w at $1425, the 8540p at $1299 and the 8540w at $1449.
