Panasonic announced the Lumix DMC-TS2 (DMC-FT2), the company’s second rugged digital camera designed for active outdoor use, following the DMC-TS1/DMC-FT1. The new TS2 further strengthens its toughness and is waterproof to 33 feet (10m), shockproof to 10 feet (2m), freezeproof to 14-degree F (-10-degree C) and dustproof.
The new Lumix DMC-TS2 features 14.1 Megapixel sesnor, a 28mm wide-angle LEICA DC VARIO ELMAR lens with 4.6x optical zoom (Intelligent Zoom up to 6x), a 2.7-inch LCD display and Venus Engine HD II image processor. It offers Sonic Speed AF and the iA (Intelligent Auto) mode that includes POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), Face Recognition, and Intelligent Scene Selector…etc
Like the TS1, the new DMC-TS2 captures HD video in AVCHD Lite format. Panasonic’s new camera supports SDXC cards. It will be available in silver, blue, orange and yellow.
