Sony launches at the CES 2010 two new Cyber-shot cameras, the DSC-HX5V and the DSC-TX7, that are the world’s first compact digital cameras to include 1080i HD (1920 x 1080 60i) Advanced Video Codec High Definition (AVCHD) video capability.

Sony’s new Cyber-shot cameras are equipped with Megapixel Exmor R image sensor and feature in-camera Backlight Correction High Dynamic Range (HDR), in-camera multi-shot High Dynamic Range (HDR), BIONZ image processor and TransferJet wireless technology.

The Sony DSC-HX5V comes with a 3-inch LCD display and a 10x optical zoom G- lens with wide-angle 25mm-250mm while the DSC-TX7 gets a 3.5-inch touchscreen display and Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 4x optical wide angle 25mm-100mm lens. The DSC-HX5V features also GPS + Compass and Optical SteadyShot with Active Mode and the TX7 is compatible with Party-shot (model IPT-DS1) automatic photographer.

Sony’s new DSC-HX5V and DSC-TX7 support both Memory Stick PRO Duo and SD/SDHC cards. The HX5V will come in Black in March for $350 and the TX7 will be available in Silver, Blue and Red is Befruary for $400.
