SilverPAC is going to release in February 2010 the evolution 5500, a multimedia universal remote control with a touchscreen and offers Microsoft’s SideShow function. The touch device supports WiFi 802.11b/g wireless connection and the SideShow, allowing users to check sports scores, weather, read email, or even look up movie times directly on the device.

The evolution 5500 is boosted by an ARM9 processor, 256MB RAM and 1GB flash memory and runs Windows CE 6.0. It has a 4.3-inch 480×272 touchscreen, built-in speaker, 3 Axis Motion Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, support for Z-Wave and built-in microphone. Other than Windows Media Center devices, the evolution 5500 can control over 100 other devices. You can also use the device as a digital photo frame, desktop clock, desktop calendar and even a desktop movie player.
