Other than StarTech’s ExpressCard adapter, Bufallo is launching a similar product, the IFC-EC2U3/UC ExpressCard USB 3.0 Adapter. Unlike StarTech’s offering, Buffalo’s adapter is able to acheive 5Gbps theoretical throughput that is enough for USB 3.0’s 4.8Gbps SuperSpeed.
The Buffalo IFC-EC2U3/UC offers two USB 3.0 ports that is backward compatible with USB 2.0. The card is compatible with ExpressCard/34, /54 interface and works on Windows 7, Vista and XP.
