Wireworld announced its flagship Platinum Starlight HDMI Cable that costs $1,000 for 1 meter (you read that right, one thousand US dollars). The Platinum Starlight cable is designed to provide the highest possible audio and video fidelity in high end home theater installations. It utilizes the company’s DNA Helix conductor design that uses 24 solid silver conductors.
The Platinum Starlight HDMI cable offers a transfer rates of up to 21 Gbits per second, twice of HDMI group’s recently announced v1.4 High Speed with Ethernet specification of 10.2 Gbits per second. This high-end HDMI cable will be released in February 2010.
