AT&T and LG launch in the US the new LG eXpo GW820 smartphone that supports optional detachable mobile projector. The eXpo is powered by Qualcomm’s 1GHz processor and runs Windows Mobile 6.5 OS.
Users of eXpo can snaps the LG Mobile Projector unit onto the back of the device for sharing presentation, slideshows or even online videos. The projector offers a projection distance as far as 8 feet.
LG eXpo GW820 features a 3.2-inch 800×480 touchscreen display and a 5 Megapixel camera with built-in flash. It has a side-slide QWERTY keyboard and supports WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity. The phone works on quad-band GSM and Tri-band (850/1900/2100 MHz) UMTS/HSPA networks. It supports microSD cards up to 16GB. The handset will be released on 7 December for $199.99 after mail-in rebate with a 2-year contract.
