IO-DATA launches in Japan the HDLP-S500 LAN DISK Home slim NAS device. The S500 is just 26mm thick, it can connect to your PC directly via USB port or to your home network via Gigabit Ethernet LAN port for networking sharing.
IO-DATA HDLP-S500 has 500GB capacity. It supports Samba protocol and can serve as an iTunes and DLNA server. HDLP-S500 include built-in BitTorrent client. The NAS device will be released in early December for 20,000 Yen.
