MSI officially announces its Wind12 U230 netbook that is powered by AMD’s 2nd Generation Ultrathin Platform, called the Congo. The U230 sports an AMD Athlon Neo single core MV40 or dual core L335 processor and up to 4GB of memory. It gets ATI Radeon HD3200 grapics card. Thanks to AMD’s processor and GPU, the Wind12 U230 is capable of HD video playback and output and supports DirectX 10.
MSI’s U230 comes with a 12.1-inch 1366×768 LED-backlight display, a 4-in-1 card reader, 1.3 Megapixel webcam, optional Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity. It offers HDMI output and stereo speakers. The netbook features the ECO Engine technology, combined with LED display and AMD’s power saving platform, offering an ultra long battery life.
