Roku launches three new Netflix streaming media players, Roku SD, HD and HD-XR. All of them are able to deliver instant entertainment from Netflix, Amazon Video On Demand and MLB.TV.
First of all the Roku SD is an entry-level model that use familiar Yellow-Red-White video/audio cable for video output and supports just 480i resolution. The Roku HD, on the other hand, features High Definition 720p streaming capability and offers HDMI and Component video output, in addition to S-video and Composite outputs. Both Roku HD and Roku SD supports WiFi 702.11b/g and Ethernet LAN connection.
The more advanced Roku HD-XR includes also features the Roku HD offered and adds support for WiFi 802.11n dual band connectivity. It has also a USB port for future expansion.
The Roku SD, Roku HD and Roku HD-XR streaming players are available from Amazon for $79.99, $99.99 and $129.99 respectively.
