German firm txtr GmbH introduces the networked txtr Reader, a 6-inch e-book reading device. The txtr Reader boasts an ARM11 532MHz processor and 64MB RAM. It features a 6-inch Vizplex e-ink display with 600×800 resolution, 8GB internal memory and built-in Lithium-polymer battery.
The txtr Reader includes built-in support for EDGE/GPRS, WiFi 802.11b/g as well as Bleutooth 2.1. It supports also 2.4GHz wireless short range transmission. There is a USB 2.0 port. txtr Reader will be shipped on 15 December for Euro 299.
