Acer announced the new neoTouch (aka Acer F1) SnapDragon-based smartphone running the new Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. The neoTouch is probably the biggest competitor to HTC’s HD2, though it has a small 3.8-inch touchscreen display.
Acer’s neoTouch boasts Qualcomm’s 1GHz 8250 SnapDragon processor and 3G graphics engine, a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash, A-GPS support, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and WiFi 802.11b/g. The phone’s camera is capable of VGA video recording.It includes also Google Maps with Latitude, Street View, Traffic, POI Search. It provides a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Acer neoTouch measures 118.6 x 63 x 12 mm and weighs 130g. It is now available in Hong Kong for $3680 (US$475).
