A company called Adaptive Sound Technologies, Inc. (ASTI) introduces the Ecotones Duet Sound Machine, a device that block unwanted noise a crowded office, at home for a more relaxing environment and help sleeping. The Ecotones comes with high-quality natural sound recordings, called SoundStory.
The Ecotones has built-in microphone for detecting unusual and intrusive sounds that can disrupt sleep or relaxation. Once detected, by utilizing the Adaptive Sound Technology, the device mixes additional sound that compliments the primary SoundStory creating a complexity or richness to help overcome the distraction.
The includes a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is priced at $149.95.
OPERATING MODES
- Adaptive Mode – listens to and adapts to intrusive sound, increasing richness and volume to minimize disruptive noise
- Background Mode – listens for sounds in the environment and reduces or turns off selected SoundStory to avoid disrupting conversations or other wanted or necessary background sound
- Manual Mode – continuously plays selected SoundStory at the volume set by the user
