Sony announced the new VAIO L, its first touchscreen all-in-one HD PC/TV. The VAIO L has a 24-inch 1920x1080p Full HD touchscreen display. It is a “ultimate multi-media hub” that serves as your PC, HDTV and DVR. The VAIO L has built-in digital NTSC/ATSC TV tuner and DVR capabilities.
Sony’s touchscreen all-in-one is boosted by an Intel processor up to Core 2 Quad 2.66GHz, up to 12GB of DDR2 RAM, and either a NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M GPU with 1GB video memory or a 512MB GeForce G210M. It gets up to a 1TB hard drive and a Blu-ray/DVD combo drive.
The VAIO L includes built-in support for WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth connection. It packs a face tracking webcam, Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, built-in IR receiver, Memory Stick card slot, SD card slot and HDMI port. The Sony VAIO L starts at $1299.99. It runs Windows 7.
