Sanyo has new eneloop Nickel-Metal Hydride Rechargeable Battery

Sanyo announced the new upgraded AA and AAA size Nickel-Metal Hydride rechargeable batteries. Sanyo’s new eneloop can be recharged up to 1,500 times, the most in the industry. As to truly embody the concept of a “Clean Energy Loop”, Sanyo has pre-charged the new batteries at the factory using clean energy generated from renewable solar power as a part of the Green Power Certification System.

Sanyo also enhanced the original “super-lattice alloy,” a negative-electrode material used in eneloop by homogenizing the crystalline structure and improving its composition to reduce the deterioration of the super-lattice alloy by repeated charge and discharge. Thanks to Sanyo’s self-discharge control technology, charged eneloop will still be ready to use even after 3 years.

Sanyo’s new eneloop will be released in Japan on 14 November in serveal packages:
