Other World Computing (OWC) introduces the 1TB On-The-Go Pro external hard drive, which is based on Western Digital (WD) Scorpio Blue 2.5-inch SATA hard drive. The hard drive has a 5200ROM drive rotation speed and 8MB cache memory.
Three versions is available, the USB (OWCMSU25T1GB8) model, the USB/FireWire 400 dual interface model (OWCMS4U5T1GB8) and the triple interface model (OWCMS8U5T1GB8) with USB, FireWire 400 and FireWire 800. The former is equipped with JMicron 20339 USB 2.0 chipset while the latter two gets Oxford FireWire/USB chipset.
OWC Mercury On-The-Go Pro has a price ranging from $299.99 to $359.99.
