Verizon officially announced the launch of the HTC Imagio (XV6975) smartphone. As we have mentioned in last post, the Imagio is basically the dual-mode version of the HTC Touch Diamond2. It is a a world phone supporting Quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900, 2100 HSPA, and CDMA/EV-DO Rev. A 800/1900 MHz.
The HTC’s new smartphone features a 3.6-inch 480×800 touchscreen diaplay, a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus, WiFi 802.11b/g connectivity. It supports Verizon’s V CAST Mobile TV, V CAST Video on Demand, V CAST Music with Rhapsody services. You can find a 3.5mm headphone jack.
HTC Imagio is probably the first Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone launched in the America. It includes HTC TouchFLO 3D UI and has a fully-customizable home screen. The Imagio will be available beginning 6 October for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract.
