Yamaha announced two new Skype-certified speakerphones, the SoundGadget PSG-01S and Projectphone PJP-25URS. The former is a personal Skype speakerphone while the latter is design for web videoconference and is intended for multiple users.
These Skype speakerphones feature built-in echo canceller for preventing echoes and cut-offs as as well wide-band stereo playback using two embedded speaker units. Other than Skype speakerphone, Yamaha’s new devices do also audio recording and music playback. They have dedicated Skype control buttons.
The SoundGadget PSG-01S even comes with acceleration sensors for Automatic Mode Switch. When the unit is positioned vertically, the unit is ready for Skype communication as a speakerphone. When it is placed horizontally, it is ready for music playback as a stereo speaker.
