Epson announced the PowerLite Home Cinema 8100 and Home Cinema 8500 UB projectors for the US market. Acutally we’ve seen the 8500 UB previously, which is known as the EH-TW4400 in the Europe market. Both of them have Full HD 1920×1080 resolution.
The PowerLite Home Cinema 8100 fetatures 36000:1 contrast ratio and 1800 lumens brightness. It has the Dynamic Iris system for contrast improvement. The Home Cinema 8500 UB has 200,000:1 contrast ratio and 1600 lumens. It comes with Epson’s C2Fine and UltraBlack technology, Super-resolution technology, 12-bit 3LCD driver technology and a built-in Silicon Optix HQV Reon-VX scaling and de-interlacing video processor.
Both 3LCD projectors are equipped with Fujinon OptiCinema Multi-Lens Optics System, E-TORL (Epson Twin Optics Reflection Lamp), and Advanced Dust Filtration System. They have two HDMI 1.3A inputs, S-video, component, composite, VGA and S-video inputs as well. The PowerLite 8100 and 8500 UB and priced at $1599 and below $3000 respectively.
