Epson announced in the US the MovieMate 60, which is the US version of the Epson EH-DM3. The all-in-one device is the successor to the MovieMate 55/EH-DM2. The MovieMate 60 is able to produce 940×540 resolution image. It can project a 16:9 widescreen 60-inch image from only six feet away or a 120-inch image from just 12 feet away.
Epson’s MovieMate 60 comes with a progressive scan standard definition 540p resolution DVD/CD player and two built-in ten watt 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS speakers. Based on three-chips 3LCD technology and energy efficient E-TORL lamp, the MovieMate 60 has 2000 lumens and 3000:1 contrast ratio. It will be available in October for $699.
