Motorola will launch in Q4 the USBw 200 USB WiMAX adapter, the follow up to the USBw 100. The new adapter use less power to operate consuming less than 1.5-watt at peak power.
The Motorola USBw 200 supports 2.3, 2.5 and 3.5GHz bands. It can be updated over-the-air. It works with Windows XP and Vista.
Also announced is the WiMAX CPEi 725 desktop WiMAX modem for fixed and nomadic access and comes with Voice over IP (VoIP) capability. It is available in the 2.5GHz band. Motorola‘s CPEi 725 features a single Analog Terminal Adaptor voice port to streamline the subscriber experience when connecting voice equipment and supports Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology for increased throughput.
