Epson announced at the IFA 2009 two new flagship Full HD 1080p projectors based on 3LCD display technology, the EH-TW5500 (known as the Pro Cinema 9500UB in the US) and the EH-TW4400 (Home Cinema 8500UB ). Both projectors feature 1920x1080p Full HD resolution, 1600 ANSI lumens brightness, 2.1x optical zoom lens and x.v. Color mode.
The Epson EH-TW5500 has a 200,000:1 contrast ratio with Epson DeepBlack technology for jet blacks, 12 bit video processing while the EH-TW4400 offers 130,000:1 contrast and 10 bit video processing. The EH-TW5500 includes also HQV video processor, Epson‘s C2 Fine inorganic D7 panel.
These projectors both offer two HDMI 1.3 ports. They will be released in November, EH-TW5500 costs Euro 3299 while the EH-TW4400 is priced at Euro 2799.
