Logitech announced the Squeezebox Radio and Squeezebox Touch, two new WiFi music players. Both devices are designed to offer people simple, intuitive access to a wide variety of music choices including free Internet radio, personal digital music files and music subscription services.
Once connected to your home network, Logitech’s Squeezebox Radio and Squeezebox Touch give you access to thousands of internet radio station as well as subscription services such as Last.fm, Napster and Deezer. Of course you can also play music directly from Mac or PC in the same home network.
The Squeezebox Radio doesn’t need external speakers, instead it comes with 3/4-inch high-definition, soft-dome tweeter and 3-inch high-power, long-throw woofer. It has a 2.4-inch LCD display. The Squeezebox Touch, on the other hands, connects to your existing speakers. It has a 4.3-inch touchscreen display and includes USB port and SD card slot for direct music playback from memory cards or USB storage devices. Both device include support for Facebook and Flickr and offer Ethernet LAN port, in addition to WiFi.
Logitech Squeezebox Radio is priced at $199.99, and there is a special edition in Red, while the Logitech Squeezebox Touch costs $299.99.
