Sony launches three new Blu-ray home theater systems in Europe market, including the previously mentioned BDV-E300, and BDV-E800W and the more compact BDV-Z7. All these systems feature BD-Live, 24p with x.v.Colour, Full HD video output, 1080p upscaling for DVDs.
The Sony BDV-E800W offers 1000W output power and a 7.1-channel sound. The system includes four floorstanding main speakers for front and rear left and right channels, a high-power subwoofer, and wireless rear speakers. It can handle Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA with Sony’s Digital Cinema Sound.
The compact BDV-Z7 is a stylish and basic Blu-ray system with 2.1 speakers. Using Sony’s S-Force Front Surround technology, the compact system can provide a virtual 5.1-channel surround sound experience.
Both BDV-E800W and BDV-Z7 Blu-ray home cinemas support BRAVIA Sync and have Digital Media Port. Along with these systems, Sony announced four more systems based on the BDP-S360 Blu-ray player: the BDV-360FS 400W 2.1-channel system; the BDV-360IS with five Sony’s amazingly tiny ‘golfball-sized’ speakers; the HTP-BD36SS wireless-ready 1000W system with compact satellite speakers and the HTP-BD36SF with four floorstanding speakers.
