In addition to the slimline TX1, Sony brings also the Cyber-shot DSC-WX1 compact point-and-shoot camera. Like the TX1, the WX1 packs Sony’s Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS sensor with 10.2 Megapixel resolution. It has a 5x zoom Sony G lens with 24mm wide angle, and a 2.7-inch LCD display.
The WX1, like most new Sony DCs, is equipped with the BIONZ Engine image processor. It offers SteadyShot Optical image stabilization, Intelligent Auto (iAuto) mode, Sweep Panorama, Face Detection, ISO 3200, Dynamic Range Optimizer. The WX1 records 720p HD video in MPEG4 format.
Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-WX1 will be available in Black in October for $350.
