Philips will release later this year its newly developed handheld drug test device that utilizes the magnetic nanoparticles to screen for five major recreational drugs, cocaine, heroin, cannabis, amphetamines and methaphetamine.
Like the breathalyzer, the device can be used by the side of the road. Instead of blowing, you spit into the disposable plastic cartridge, which will then be inserted into the handheld analyzer. It takes just 90 seconds to deliver color coded test results.
