Sony releases details and specs of the new Memory Stick XC series. The new MS XC series has the same form factor as the PRO series, including the Memory Stick XC Duo, XC Micro, XC-HG Duo and XC-HG-Micro. All of them have a capacity up to 2TB.
The XC Duo and XC Micro offer a maximum data transfer rate at 20MB/s while the XC-HG Duo and XC-HG-Micro provide up to 60MB/s transfer rate. All these new Memory Stick XC cards support MagicGate content protection technology and Access Control function. Like SDXC, the Memory Stick XC uses exFAT file system.
