NEC announced the NP4100, a new professional installation projector “designed to take on the most demanding integration projects”.
The NP4100 features 1024×768 native resolution, 6200 ANSI lumens brightness and 2100:1 contrast ratio. It includes the BrilliantColor that increases system brightness and color saturation; the AutoSense, which automatically syncs with any computer signal; and the DynamicBlack for improving the black level of video. The device can project 40- to 500-inches screen at distances between 2.6 and 283 feet.
There are also 4- and 6-segment color wheels for maximum brightness and appropriate color reproduction. The NP4100 offers DVI-D with HDCP, RCA, s-video, component, 15-pin and BNC inputs as well as RJ45 Ethernet port for LAN connection. NEC NP4100 will be available in August 2009 for $5499.
