LG officially announced its New Chocolate phone, the LG BL40 that is the fourth handset of the Black Label Series. The BL40 features a 4-inch widescreen 800×345 cinema-like LCD display with a 21:9 aspect ratio.
The phone has the Dual Screen UI that displays two different types of content on the 4-inch large touchscreen display at the same time. Other possible features include a 5 Megapixel camera, WiFI, A-GPS and support for HSPA 7.2Mbps.
The BL40 New Chocolate has a long, narrow, thin form factor and is encased in a glossy black finish and iconic red highlights. It’s screen is overlaid with curved tempered glass. No specific launch date is mentioned but it will come in Q3 2009.
Update: Beginning from the UK, the new LG Chocolate will be released across the Europe in September and will be expanded to the rest of the world from October 2009. [press release]
