Sony unveiled in Japan a new GPS navigation device called nav-u NV-U3DV. The new GPS device has a 6.1-inch large 480×272 LCD touchscreen and 4GB internal memory for store maps and media files.
The nav-u NV-U3DV features the Position+ G technology that uses an accelerometer, gyro-sensor, and pressure sensors to detect the direction of the vehicle. The PND is pre-loaded with maps of Japan and millions of points of interest from PetaMap. It can also provide live traffic information.
Other features include media playback and built-in 1Seg digital TV tuner. It will be released on 11 August for 65,000 Yen.
