Universal Remote Control (URC) introduces the new MX-5000 universal remote with a touchscreen and haptic feedback. Based on the same technology as the MX-6000, you can consider the MX-5000 as the one-handed version of the MX-6000.
The MX-5000 features a 2.7-inch touchscreen LCD display with haptic feedback, which means when you press a button the screen, you feel like you are pressing a real physical button. The remote supports both RF and WiFi 802.11b/g wireless connectivity and offers about 30 to 50 feet operation range. It can handle up to 255 steps per macro. IR and RS-232 system integration are also supported.
The URC MX-5000 will be priced at about $1500.
