Olympus introduces the LS-11, a “compact, lightweight powerhose of audio recording. The LS-11 is a PCM recorder that does 24-BIT/96kHz linear PCM recording. The recorder features two precision condenser microphones capture all the sounds with both heightened sensitivity and reduced noise. Their 90-degree outward placement achieves a wider spectrum of sound.
The Olympus LS-11 can do stereo or mono recording in WAV, MP3 or WMA formats. It has 8GB internal memory and supports SD/SDHC cards up to 32GB. You can fine tune your recording with an LCD-displayed level meter. It offers auto-record function that activates the LS-11 at pre-set levels.
The Olympus LS-11 PCM recorder offers a long battery life up to 23 hours. It will be available in September 2009 for about $399.99.
