According to BGR, Verizon is going to launch the HTC OZone QWERTY phone which is basically Verizon’s version of the HTC Snap. It supports not only dual band 1xRTT/EV-DO Rev. A 3G network but also quad-band GSM/EDGE networks.
Like the HTC Snap, the OZone features a 2.4-inch LCD screen, a 2 Megapixel camera, full QWERTY keyboard, WiFi, Bluetooth, built-in GPS and a microSD card slot. It has 256MB ROM and 128MB RAM. The OZone runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard.
Verizon HTC OZone will be available for $119.99 with a 2-year contract. Sprint and T-Mobile are, respecitvely, selling the HTC Snap EVDO and the Dash 3G, which are basically the same phone with different names and support different network standards.
Update: The HTC Ozone is priced at $49.99 after a $70 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement. It will be available on 29 June.
