Sony is going to launch in the US the new VAIO NW notebook PC that comes with built-in Blu-ray drive and starts at just US$880. The VAIO NW is boosted by Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor up to 2.1GHz, 4GB RAM, 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 graphics and up to 400GB hard drive.
The 15.5-inch laptop comes equipped with a 4X BD-ROM optical drive. It has a 15.5-inch XBRITE WXGA LCD display. You can expect WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n support, HDMI output, ExpressCard, SD and Memory Stick Pro card slots. It’s Li-ion battery allows up to 5.5 hours of usage.
The Sony VAIO NW is priced at 880 with a Blu-ray drive or you can get it without Blu-ray for just $800. It is available in Blue, Grey and Dark Brown.
