Curtis Mathes launches the CMMBX130 Blu-ray player that is probably the first to have a price tag of $99. The CMMBX130 does 1080p playback and DVD up-conversion of 720p/1080i/1080p/. It is equipped with BroadCom 7440 main processor, 11-Bit/108MHz Video D/A converter and 24-bit/192KHz audio D/A converter.
The $99 Blu-ray player supports Dolby digital AC-3 audio decode. It offers HDMI 1.3 output. It is available from meijer.
