SanDisk has begun shipping its second generation pSSD the P2 and S2. Like the Netbook SDHC, the pSSD is also designed to expand the capacity of netbook PC. Based on MLC flash memory, the P2 and S2 comes with the nCache technology that offers a non-volatile cache of up to 320MB to support bursts of random write commands. They provide 9,000 vRPM of steady state performance.
SanDisk’s pSSD P2 and S2 will be available in 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities. P2 and S2 use PATA and SATA interface respectively.
