Sony Ericsson officially announced the new Satio, the 12.1 Megapixel mobile phone that is previously known as the Idou. The Satio features a 3.5-inch large touchscreen display and a 12.1 Megapixel camera with Xenon flash, image stabilizer, face detection, smile detection and touch focus.
Sony Ericsson’s Satio supports WiFi for internet connection and GPS with Google Maps offering turn-by-turn navigation. It can also geo-tag photos taken. The phone runs S60 5th edition Symbian OS and comes with WebKit browser pre-installed. Other features include Bluetooth, FM tuner, YouTube support, Gesture control, 128MB internal memory and a microSD card slot.
The Satio supports UMTS HSDPA and quad-band GSM networks. Two versions, in Black, Silver and Bordeaux, will be released in Q4 2009:
