iBuyPower introduces the new Chimera gaming system that is available in AMD AM3 and Intel Core i7 versions. Both versions have a NZXT Guardian Inferno 921 chassis with a unique full-chassis flame paint job.
The AM3 Edition is powered by AMD’s AM3+ Phenom II X4 processor with AMD 790FX/GX while the X58 Edition sports Intel’s Core i7 processor and X58 chipset. The former gets up to 8GB DDR3 RAM and the latter has up to 12GB. Both edition can be equipped with ATI Radeon HD 4000-series CrossfireX graphics card and the X58 Edition has also NVIDIA200 series option.
The Chimera Gaming System is available with liquid colling option and offers four 3.5-inch drive bays, integrated audio and Ethernet. Consumers may also add Creative’s SoundBlaster X-Fi Sound Card, Killer NIC gaming network card. The price of iBuyPower starts at $999.
