Sony announced three new alpha digital SLR cameras, including DSLR-A380, DSLR-A330 and DSLR-A230, for first-time DSLR users. The A330 and A230 both have a 10.2 Megapixel sensor while the A380 comes with a 14.2 Megapixel image sensor.
All three models include the SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilization and the A380 and A330 get also Quick Autofocus (AF) Live View technology. They all have a 2.7-inch LCD display that can be tilted up or down on A380 and A330 models.
Sony’s new alpha DSLRs offer HDMI output and supports SD/SDHC and Memory Stock PRO DUO memory cards. Along with three new cameras, Sony introduces the SAL-1855 standard zoom lens, SAL-55200 telephoto zoom lens and SAL-50F18 portrait lens as well as HVL-F20AM flash.
Pricing and kit options:
The a380L, a330L and a230L will cost about $850, $650 and $550, respectively. The L series one-lens kit comes with the SAL-1855 standard zoom lens.
The a380Y, a330Y and a230Y will cost about $1050, $850 and $750, respectively. The Y series two-lens kit comes with both the SAL-1855 standard zoom and SAL-55200 telephoto zoom lenses.
