AMD presents a factory overclocked ATI Radeon HD 4890 graphics processor that is first to hit 1GHz clock speed using standard air cooling. The 1GHz GPU offers 1.6 TeraFLOPs of compute power. It supports DirectX 10.1, OpenGL3 and OpenCL standards. The overclocked graphics card uses GDDR5 memory and provides HDMI output.
The 1GHz HD4890 includes Enhanced Anti-Aliasing & Anisotropic Filtering, CrossFireX Technology, Unified Video Decoder 2 (UVD 2), Accelerated Video Transcoding (AVT), Upscale Beyond 1080p as well as built-in Xilleon HDTV encoder. It plugs in to a PCI Express 2.0 x16 bus interface.
