HTC Snap QWERTY Smartphone

HTC announced a new bar-type QWERTY smartphone, the Snap. HTC’s Snap is a Windows Mobile 6.1 based smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard. Powered by a Qualcomm MSM 7225 528 MHz processor, the Snap has 256MB ROM and 128MB RAM.

HTC Snap features a 2.4-inch LED-backlight display, a 2 Megapixel camera, WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth with EDR and A2DP, integrated GPS, and a microSD card slot. The phone has a trackball with Enter button. It supports 900/2100 MHz HSDPA/WCDMA and quad-band GSM. The phone includes the Inner Circle function that allows users to easily prioritize messages from the most important people in their lives at the press of a button.

HTC Snap will be released in Q2 2009. There will be a HSDPA at 850/1900MHz version for the US market and known as HTC S522.
