General Micro Systems (GMS) introduces the Raider S705 ultra small rugged embedded PC that is designed for defense, aerospace and compute-intensive applications. According to the company, the Raider S705 offers the highest processing power per cubic inch, per watt in the worldm during bids for an undisclosed UAV contract.
Powered by Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor up to 2.16GHz, the Raider S705 has up to 2GB of RAM. It supports up to two 2.5-inch SATA hard drives and two PCI Express Mini Cards for WiFi and Cell phone Modems.
Measures just 4.6 x 4.6 x 1.6 inches, the Raider offers simultaneous monitoring and tracking of phone, wireless, CDMA, TDMA, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth or others, in addition to dual Gigabit Ethernet. The rugged Raider meets the MIL-STD 810F standard. Dual optional fixed or removable 256GB SSD can be packed in this compact PC.
