Ricoh announced the CX1 digital camera that features a dynamic range of 12 EV equivalent. The CX1 has the dynamic range double shot mode, which takes high-speed consecutive shots of two still images with different exposures and then records an image that combines the properly exposed portions of each.
Ricoh CX1 has a 9 Megapixel CMOS image sensor, a 7.1x zoom 28-200 mm lens, and a 3-inch LCD screen. It does also 1cm macro. The CX1 includes also sensor-shift image stabilizer, ISO 1600, 640×480 video recording.
Ricoh CX1 has 88MB internal memory and supports SD and SDHC memory cards. The CX1 will be available in Pink, Black and Silver with a price tag of GBP 299.
