Compal presents two new touchscreen portable multimedia devices, the Black APA00 and White APA01. The two PMPs are identicla except for the color. Both devices are based on Sigma Design EM8622L chipset. They have a 7-inch 800×480 touchscreen display, DVB-T dIgital TV tuner, WiFi 802.11b/g, FM tuner and built-in stereo speakers.
The APA00 and APA01 is equipped with a 1.8-inch hard drive and have a SD/MMC card reader. These PMPs runs uCLinux OS. Most of time Compal doesn’t sell products under its own brand but OEM, so we will probably see these devices come from other brands.
