Sony brings to the CES 2009 its new DCR-DVD850 and DCR-DVD650 Handycam DVD camcorders. Both DVD camcorders feature 1/8-inch 680K-pixel CCD imagersCarl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lenses, and 60X optical zoom. They can does video recording to 3-inch DVD discs.
Sony’s Handycam DCR-DVD850 comes with 16GB internal memory and both DCR-DVD850 and DCR-DVD650 records to Memory Stick PRO Duo media cards. The former also gets a built-in zoom microphone with Dolby Digital 5.1 channel recording. They have a 2.7-inch LCD touchscreen display.
Sony Handycam DCR-DVD850 and DCR-DVD650 will be released in in February for about $430 and $300, respectively.
