Samsung announced the new S5L2010 series media processor designed specially for digital photo frames. Going to be displayed at the CES 2009, the Samsung S5L2010 can decode 57 Megapixel JPEG images in just one second. It can also handle MP3, WMA, OGG, AAC audio and MPEG-1/2/4, Xvid, Motion JPEG video formats.
Housed in a quad flat package and based on an ARM9 core, the Samsung S5L2010 offers also SLC/ MLC NAND flash support, support for XGA LCD, ADC for touch screen control, LED PWM driver for LCD backlight, built-in RTC, audio PWM 2 channel output, TV-Out, and DVB-T interface. Support for SD/MMC/SM/MS/CF/xD, advanced graphics capabilities, USB 2.0 OTG, infrared input support can also be found.
