Quantas demos Optical Touch Screen

Quantas shows its new touchscreen technology at the WinHEC Taipei 2008. The new technology is named Optical Touch. Instead of using a capacitive or resistive touch panel, the Optical Touch technology relies on two cameras on the top corners of the display, which will locate the finger position of users.

The Optical Touch Screen is compatible with Microsoft Windows 7. It supports also multi-touch gestures such as rotate, zoom-in and zoom-out.
