Sony Ericsson officially announced the G705 slider mobile phone with is YouTube compatible. G705 allows users to instantly download and upload video directly. With the partnership with Google, more upcoming Sony Ericsson phones will also be YouTube compatible.
The Sony Ericsson G705 features a 2.4-inch LCD display, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with 3.2x digital zoom, built-in WiFi connectivity, aGPS with Google Maps, and support for auto orientation for easy switch between portrait to landscape modes. It has also a Google shortcut key. The G705 supports DLNA that allows the phone to connect with with DLNA-certified devices.
The American version of the G705 will be available in Q1 2009 and supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS/HSUPA 850/1900/2100 networks. The standard G705 will be available in Q4 in Silky Gold or Majestic Black and it supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS/HSDPA 2100. There is also an Orange exclusive G705u that will come in the colour Luminous Black.
