According to SonyInsider, Sony is going to debut its first WHDI device, DMX-WL1T in September of October. The DMX-WL1T has a 4 HDMI inputs, one component input, one digital audio input, and a stereo analog input. The system is able to transmits wirelessly uncompressed 1080i video to Sony DMex compatible BRAVIA HDTVs within 100 feet.
WHDI – Wireless Home Digital Interface sets a new standard for wireless high-definition video connectivity. It provides a high-quality, uncompressed wireless link which can support delivery of equivalent video data rates of up to 3Gbit/s (including uncompressed 1080p) in a 40 MHz channel in the 5 GHz unlicensed band, conforming to FCC regulations.
