Sony ships its BDP-S350 Blu-ray player, which has been mentioned before. The Sony BDP-S350 features the BonusView (picture-in-picture), BD-Live, support for 7.1 channel Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD High Resolution Audio and Master Audio bit-stream output.
The new Blu-ray boasts Sony’s Precision Cinema HD Upscale technology that converts standard-definition signals (480i) to 1080p and outputs a full HD equivalent resolution signal to 1080p TVs via HDMI. It supports also AVCHD discs encoded with x.v.Color (xvYCC) technology.
The Sony BDP-S350 is now available at Sony Style stores for $400.
